Argentine stocks rise 5.42 pct on Tenaris rally

BUENOS AIRES, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Argentine stocks .MERV closed up 5.42 percent on Tuesday, driven by a 10 percent gain by index heavyweight Tenaris (TENA.BA).

Steelmaker Tenaris, the world’s leading producer of seamless steel tubes for the energy industry, rallied on stronger oil prices. (Reporting by Walter Bianchi; Writing by Helen Popper)
